This introductory class is designed for the nervous swimmer or very beginner. We will work on submersion’s and back floats while assisting the child to feel comfortable and safe in the water. The foundation of streamlining (correct body position and form) will be introduced. The use of positive reinforcement is critical to help the child build trust and confidence. For safety, we work on turn around swims. The instructor practices with every child what to do if they were to fall in the pool. Being safe around a pool is discussed with the class every lesson.
